Two-way access with guaranteed speed
The main stages of the two-way (duplex) access scheme can be described by the following 9 steps:
1. Requests are sent by the customer's transmitting satellite station in (SCPC) modulation to the corresponding satellite system.
2. Requests Retransmitted by a satellite are received by SatGate's ground station at SatGate's Teleport.
3. Requests sent via fiber-optic backbone connection reach the remote server.
4. Replies are sent to the transmitting satellite station at SatGate teleport.
5. The transmitting station transmits the answers in the necessary modulation (SCPC, DVB-S or DVB-S2) to the satellite.
6. Satellite system relays the received modulated data stream.
7. The data flow is received by customer's satellite earth station in the form of a modulated carrier from the satellite.
8. client demodulator, or DVB-S/S2 receiver configured for modulated satellite carrier, processes the received data stream and extracts the needed packages.
9. The client receives a response from chosen Internet resource.
SatGate provides two-way Internet access at a guaranteed rate (CIR) using Yamal-200-2 geostationary satellite, located in a geostationary orbit (up to end 2015) in position of 49 degrees East. Yamal-200-2 has a wide covering area in C-band with a high level of the transmitted signal (coverage map).
In order to provide optimal connectivity for its customers, SatGate interacts with the leading European IP Backbone providers such as Telia Sonera, Cogent, LinxTelecom and TEO.
SatGate offers its clients the possibility to connect using BGP4 protocol, static IP and tunnel connections, provides customers with the necessary number of IP-addresses and high-quality 24/7 technical support. SatGate also provides its clients with access to the use of statistics graphs showing real-time traffic flow.
Experienced staff of SatGate engineers provides the necessary consultations to ensure proper installation and flawless use of coherent receiver equipment.
SatGate provides Two-Way broadband Internet access with a guaranteed rate (CIR) and without traffic restrictions in the modulations below:
- SCPC / SCPC QPSK/8PSK/16QAM (coverage map Yamal-200-2, C-band, recommended receiving and transmitting antenna with a diameter of 2.4m, Cross-polarization not less than 27dB and a satellite modem CDM-570L, CDM-600L or CDM -Qx, transmitter Codan or Terrasat);
- SCPC/DVB-S2 16APSK Frame Relay (coverage map Yamal-200-2, C-band, recommended receiving and transmitting antenna with a diameter of not less than 3.7m, Cross-polarization not less than 27dB, Satellite Modem CDM-570L, CDM-600L or the CDM - Qx, transmitter Codan or Terrasat and DVB-S2 Frame Relay receiver).
Many countries require special permission (license) for the use of Two-Way Satellite Internet access. Please contact your local regulator before requesting Two-Way connection from SatGate.
